Inspired by Gil Elvgren to do a pinup... worked this piece off and on for a few days now and finally threw down the stylus and said, "No more!"

Man, its hard to paint outside your normal style - but fun!

VERY awesome stuff, it looks really good. The only thing I'd see is that i don't think (in the period something like this would've been done) there'd be a leopard print bathing suit, but (a) I could be wrong, and (b) that has nothing to do with how much this rocks. :-) (Smile) great stuff.

this is an excellent piece. you did a great job on the shading. she's got a little too much makeup for my taste, but still a great peice.

I've always enjoyed pin-up girls. They make me feel like painting one myself, but every time I try I scream and rant and rave and yell and so on, etc.
You have done an excellent job on this piece.
The animal print really sets it, along with the hair color you chose.

novenarik - I didn't know that. I have an army supply store nearby so I'll have to buy some, I just looove vintage pinups. A women I work with is bringing a deck of cards to work that her grandfather hid from her grandmother. *grin* Can't wait to see them.
