Small Forest Steps by jezebel Small Forest Steps by jezebel
Someone asked if I had the steps for creating my little forest painting, so here they are. This is really a tutorial as I'm not explaining how I do things but I figured it belonged here anyway.

Take what you will of it. This is the way I build up. :)

Argh! You make it look so simple! Now let's see if I can learn something from this (probably not because I fail).

Seriously, if there's one thing I suck at, its backgrounds. I have a feeling this will really help me :)

Amazing! The end result looks so complicated, but seeing how it is done from the beginning really makes it look less daunting. ^_^ Thank you!

Wow it looks as if you took a picture after a forest fire and continued to every month or so to see the regrowth... nice job!

These step by steps always make it seem so easy!! But it has to be a skill that takes a lot of time and energy to refine.

There's a work I would love to build!

I really get tired of traying to "build" forests, because of the details.. Cause i turn Anxious to finish it, and do it very fast... And the results...cof cof, not the greatest ones..
Oh well, but the concept is very nic and the steps help a lot! Thanks! :D

It's very nice! ;) *

Very painterly like.. Oil-like in how the colors were layered... damned if I haven't spent enough time with color to get it acting like a good little happy-accident (seredipituous nature) lol

that's great! The first step is beautiful in its own right, it has a great depth and atmosphere while remaining simple.
