My first tutorial - landscape by jezebel My first tutorial - landscape by jezebel
This is my first tutorial submitted to DA, I'm really hoping that I did it correctly.

Its a walk-through of the hazy landscape image I submitted a while back. If it proves to be useful, I'll upload the tutorial of my wolf image as well

[edit: Bah... it won't let me edit the html... sorry it won't let you view the larger version of the images online. I tried to do everything according to the tutorial instructions but maybe links just won't work? If you download the zip and extract it to a folder it should work find though. Sorry about that ]

I would be insane to even open this without the possession of a tablet.

Well, I suppose I'm simply wacky, then.

I can't wait until I save up enough for a tablet. I tried doing what is shown in some of your tutorials and got very frustrated because I totally suck.

I love this! It has a very dramatic effect! I can't download it though, as I receive the message of something to do with the server. Hoping that will get fixed fast, as I really want to download your tut and give it a shot.

Your work is amazing, very inspiring, especially to a newbie like myself.

I like the scenery. Reminds me of my summers in northern Minnesota with my grandparents & g-grandmother. Lots of woods, lakes & swamps to canoe among...calling in the loons in the fog. Was a great time.
Hope to get a hint or two for doing some of my art on computer. Looked into the Macon tablet you suggested. Little pricey but will figure something out. Thanks.

well i think she just moved her brush in a curve like that, perception.
palm was here.
perception Featured By Owner Feb 15, 2002
uhm... you're just saying what you did, but not really how u did it.

you lost me after step 1. im not a n00b, well to airbrushing yes, but i kow all the tools and stuff and im not grasping how you went from step 1 to step 2. with just 'swoosh swoosh'
So we let them see what is not there,
But they break the barrier that is everywhere.
The barriers they feel but do not touch.
The barriers that breakdown into dust...

Man I love that 'painting'. I really dig the hazy effect. How did you do that? Did you merely use Photoshop? Or were there more programs used?

codex Featured By Owner Jan 19, 2002
great, im going to learn this. i wanna have your skills!

the-wanderer Featured By Owner Jan 10, 2002
This is going to be fun trying this one. I love the ambience in this.
I haven't done anything like this in Photoshop so I don't know if I can or can't (probably can't) the tutorial will help guide me through it in a much more ordered process compared to how I would have gone about doing it.
Thanks for being such a kind & generous person. I have encountered people who've been less than helpful and more than unpleasant.

it looks awesomeness

was this photoshop or paintshop you did it in? (i'm trying to figure out how the hazy effect would be had and ima thinking layers in ps so you could have it behind some things but over some)

very cool for a general idea of what you did instead of spoonfeeding us :) (Smile) this way we have to think a bit for ourselves :D (Big Grin)
