Well, I decided I wasn't going to post on the forums until I'd finished a painting. Not just a painting, but a painting with a good background. The room started out as a very basic 3D layout so my perspective lines wouldn't be skewed. From there I spent a good 20+ hours painting. I don't think I've ever spent that much time working on one piece so I'm proud of myself.

I did this image for my older brother. It is to possibily be used on a flyer or on the website for FURther CONfusion.

Anyway, I'm sick as a dog right now so I decided not to work on this anymore. I kinda tired of looking at it and I like the rough/detailed combination.

The background is lovely! And the lighting is perfect. Ugh, nothing but praises. Do something bad for once, okie?! That way I'll at least having something to say in my comments! ;) Definitely a :+fav:.

Lighting, colour, texture, detail... it's all gorgeous as per your usual. I think you've really outdone yourself this time, though. This is up there with "The High Priestess" in my (humble ;) ) opinion. :heart: The extra time spent really shows through.

It's simply amazing. The details are so perfect... I like the darkness and especially the subtle lighting. The torches (and the light and shadow cast by them) are done so well...

goodness... this is incredible... Anubis is one of my favorite eygption gods as well... maybe because i like Mr. Goodbars so much. Wonderful 3-d cast to the bg and I love the darkness that surrounds your one figure, God of the candybars.... if this was done at the peak of eygption (sp?) culture though the background wouldn't seem like hugely accurate, but the bg looks like it's been attacked by the deterioration of time. Anywho... that's Tasha being weird. I find this to be an incredibly thoughtful and well done piece.

Amazing painting I must say. The textures and colors are just awesome. The lighting is great. The only gripe is that the main figure is kind of hard to see. I am sure that is the shadow and such, just dark and hard to see. Love it though. :+fav:

im still trying to figure out if its too dark, because it adds to the atmoshpere, but it makes it technically less appealing. But its a very good painting either way, good job at making it look old and dusty and eyption.
